Purchasers gearing up for CeBit

Hannover—CeBIT 2007 is scheduled for kick-off March 15th at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds in Germany.
Billed as the world's leading trade show for IT and telecommunications, the event draws around 6,200 exhibitors, and more than 450,000 visitors from around the world.
More than 7,500 purchasing professionals attend the event, and 130,000 IT managers, to discover new products and services before they hit the North American marketplace.
The show is one of the biggest events in the world, with 28 exhibit halls measuring 35 kilometers in combined perimeter.
Canada was well represented at CeBIT 2006, with more than 58 companies participating in displays, said Jennifer Cooke, Canadian representative for Deutsche Messe AG, the German-based organizer of the event.
Main display groups for 2007 include digital equipment and systems; communications; business processes; banking and finance; public sector technology; special displays; and "Future Parc."
