First meeting for supply chain council

Mississauga, Ont.—The board of directors of the Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council met for the first time in October. The meeting drew about 30 people from across Canada, including leaders of several Canadian supply chain associations, and guest speakers.
Kevin Maynard, the newly-appointed executive director of the council, gave a report to the board, and set the stage for the council to move from a study position, into action. Work was started on a strategic plan to guide the council for the next 18 months.
Members also devised a plan to measure the council’s effectiveness, opting for eight performance metrics. Further details will be announced in the council’s upcoming strategic plan report.
