Kyocera unveils new desktop printer

Mississauga, Ont.—Kyocera Mita Canada is marketing a new 23 page-per-minute monochrome printer, for small workgroups and offices.
The FS-1030D/DN is versatile enough to print on different materials, including bond, and recycled paper, transparencies, labels and envelopes. It also features Kyocera's ECOSYS cartridge-free printer technology, which allows toner to be replenished in the printer without disposal of the print drum. The system cuts down on waste material, and reduces toner replacement costs up to two thirds, compared to other printers in its class, according to Kyocera.
The printer has 32 MB standard RAM, 7,200 page yield toner, and a standard 250 sheet drawer. The DN model has built-in network connectivity. Retail price for the printers is $540 for the FS-1030D and $690 for the 1030DN.
