GS1 Canada names new members

Toronto—Global e-commerce organization GS1 Canada has appointed new members to its standards and services governance board. The board represents Canada’s interests in global efforts to establish RFID and other e-commerce strategies.
The appointments include Phil Lanzarotta, national director of customer and logistics services with Kellogg Canada Inc.; Dean Noble, president of Neptune Food Service; and Denis Wills of Symbol Technologies. Also appointed were Roban Coba of Loblaw Companies Ltd. and Lillie Cruikshank of Sobeys Inc.
In related news, GS1 Canada announced its wholly-owned subsidiary, EPCglobal Canada, has added more companies to its advisory council, EPCGlobal assigns electronic product codes, which make the supply chain more efficient. It also tests emerging technologies.
Its latest members include Hewlett-Packard (Canada), PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Psion Teklogix Inc., R. Moroz Ltd. and TELUS.
