New Business Network Newsletter
PMAC members will maximize the benefits
PMAC has launched a new, electronic members’ newsletter to keep members updated on news, developments and new services available through the PMAC Business Network. The e-newsletter will be distributed to PMAC members via e-mail every other month and will feature articles on services available in the Business Network and guides on how to maximize their benefits.
The Business Network was established with a few initial services in 2002 and has grown considerably since then, according to Paul Weissman, President of PMAC’s Business Network partner-provider Venngo Inc.
“We are constantly looking for services and additions for the Business Network that are going to provide value to PMAC members and their families and colleagues. The Network will continue to grow as PMAC members tell us what services they need and want for themselves and their families.”
More information
The launch of the e-newsletter is timely. It follows a Business Network usage survey of PMAC members in mid-March. The survey shows a significant percentage of respondents are not taking advantage of the savings and efficiency of the Business Network because they aren’t familiar with the Network and its services.
The survey was intended to gauge current usage patterns and to determine members’ preferences in being kept informed about additional business and personal consumer services as the Business Network grows. The response rate to the survey was excellent, with more than 700 people completing it.
Of those, as many as 35 per cent said they wanted more information on the services now available through the Business Network. Up to 78 per cent of the respondents were interested in receiving information on new business services. Almost 90 per cent said they were interested in getting information on new personal, consumer services as they are made available through the Business Network.
PMAC members access the Business Network via the PMAC home site at http://www.pmac.ca. They log in through “my PMAC account” at the top-right of the national home page. This routes members to the PMAC members’ web site which includes a direct jump to the PMAC Business Network. Alternatively, users can access the Business Network directly from the national web site by clicking on a PMAC Business Network button on the right. They will be routed from there to the My PMAC account log-in site.
Once logged on, members can access any of the reduced-cost business and personal services available via the Business Network, including Microsoft, Grand & Toy, New Balance, Equifax, Workopolis, D&B, Canada Newswire, HP, FTD Flowers and Baskets, Manulife Financial, UPS and GoToMyPC. Members realize savings in the range of five per cent to 45 per cent for these services.
According to Weissman, the PMAC Business Network is in the process of negotiating new service agreements that would bring PMAC members savings on travel, restaurants, gift cards for major retailers, group home and auto insurance and mortgages.
In the March survey, almost 90 per cent of respondents noted they would take advantage of access to the Business Network for family members and colleagues. While the Business Network was created for PMAC members, access to the services and appropriate use of them is available to members’ families, colleagues and co-workers. b2b
