The Future of CAD

On July 16, Jon Hirschtick, founder and former CEO of SolidWorks, addressed the members of the Ontario SolidWorks and CosmosWorks User Group on the future of CAD. During the event, which was sponsored by Javelin Technologies and SolidWorks, Hirschtick laid out the four main trends that he sees shaping the industry: Hosted applications, open source, video games and touch interfaces.
