Two Magna units named top GM suppliers

Cosma International and Decoma International—two operating units of Aurora, Ont.-based Magna International Inc.—both received the General Motors 2007 Supplier of the Year award “for their outstanding performance and making a significant contribution the manufacturing of our world-class vehicles,” said GM vice-president Bo Andersson.
Decoma manufactures a range of plastic body, lighting and exterior trim systems, and also performs second stage vehicle assembly work for OEMs. Cosma is an automotive metalforming supplier, providing a range of body, chassis and engineering solutions.
The GM Supplier of the Year award is a program that began in 1992, with winners selected by a team of executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics.
“This award is a great testament to our talented employees and
their continued dedication toward delivering world-class products and
service to our customers,” said Decoma president Tom Skudutis. “We are
grateful for GM's recognition and we look forward to a future of
continued success.”
