Ontario auto parts makers bought by Eastern Manufacturing

Eastern Manufacturing Inc, a manufacturer of catalytic converters and related emission control components, has purchased the assets of Hermoff Manufacturing, a Hagersville, Ont.-based manufacturer and distributor of exhaust manifolds, catalytic converters and components in Canada and the United States.

“This acquisition is an excellent business and growth opportunity for Eastern, and will expand both our manufacturing and distribution capabilities,” said Eastern Manufacturing president George Schafer. “Hermoff … will not only increase sales volume and open new distribution channels in Canada, but also add some new units to the Eastern product line.”

Eastern produces catalytic converters and catalytic converter components for both original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket. It offers a full line of universal, direct-fit, high-performance, diesel and heavy-duty catalytic converters.
