Biodegradable paint remover
|

Applied Chemical Laboratories, Inc, a producer of specialty chemical formulations for electronics manufacturing, architectural products, and bio-pharmaceutical applications, has introduced ACL-707 Green Piranha, a stripper for removing otherwise permanent paints from metallic surfaces.

According to the company, the product is formulated from 50 per cent post-consumer recycled content and is 100 per cent water soluble, non-flammable and contains no methylene chloride. Green Piranha is designed to quickly and effortlessly strip polymer coatings such as epoxy, polyester, urethane, TGIC and hybrid powders; as well as military epoxies, high and low baked water, Teflon, Xylan, Halar and other liquid and dry industrial coatings. Green Piranha is 100 per cent compatible for use with sensitive alloys including aluminum and magnesium, says the company. Tenacious coatings are quickly removed without damaging the substrate or changing critical dimensions or tolerances.
