NETZSCH Fine Particle Technology, LLC, now offers the MicroPsi-Mix small-batch dispersion system for the development of repeatable dispersions in the manufacture of coatings, pharmaceuticals, mineral slurries, and pigments and colorants. This lab-sized version of NETZSCH's PSI-Mix allows for the accurate scale-up of fine dispersions to meet a coatings manufacturer's full-production needs.
According to the company, the MicroPsi combines a new energy-saving dispersion method with emission- and dust-free inline operation. This method helps wet particulate solids with liquid components under vacuum and micro-cavitation conditions. Coatings manufacturers can process low- to high-viscosity, barely pumpable suspensions. The system is designed to work well with large liquid batches of high-solid content and low-solid portion products. The MicroPsi also processes products with difficult-to-wet and extremely fine solids. In continuous reaction processes, the MicroPsi is ideal for applications involving the introduction of reaction powders.
