Tego Coating Additives & Specialty Resins has introduced Tego Foamex 843 for use in waterborne formulations. According to the company, the product is effective for fast and complete foam knock-down of micro- and macro-foam. Tego Foamex 843 is compatible with a variety of water-based resin systems including acrylic emulsions, styrene acrylic emulsions, polyurethane dispersions and hybrid resins. The product permits high printing speeds and long print runs on a wide variety of substrates using high and low viscosity printing inks.
Tego Foamex is a formulation of polyethersiloxanes and organic polymers containing fumed silica. Recommended addition level is 0.1-0.5 per cent based on total formulation.
