|

Benjamin Moore & Co., Montvale, NJ, announced in December that it has entered into an agreement to purchase select assets of Insl-x Products Corp., Stony Point, NY. Insl-x manufactures industrial coatings and coatings for professional contractors under a variety of brand names. The acquisition, which includes the Insl-x Coronado, Bruning, Lenmar, and Trinity brands, "will help us compete more aggressively without compromising our premium brand reputation and will bring complementary products to our portfolio," said Benjamin Moore CEO Denis Abrams in a statement. Jim Weil, the current owner of Insl-x, will stay on as president and CEO of Insl-x, which will now be a wholly owned subsidiary of Benjamin Moore & Co.
