Akzo Nobel Aerospace Coatings receives Platinum Supplier Award

Akzo Nobel Aerospace Coatings(ANAC), Waukegan, IL, was recently presented with a Platinum Supplier Award by a representative of Northrop Grumman Integrated Systems Division. "We are now in the fourth decade of our relationship with Northrop Grumman," says Michael Chapman, global program and product director for ANAC in a release. "Beginning in the 1970's with the F-14 Tomcat, continuing into the 1980s and 1990s with products for the B-2, and now in 2007 with a high performance waterborne primer for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, we have worked closely with Northrop Grumman to develop the high performance coatings required."
Northrop Grumman's Platinum Supplier Program is designed to place greater emphasis on performance measurements consistent with the company's customer expectations to those suppliers who consistently meet their performance requirements. According to ANAC, as a Platinum Supplier, the company has demonstrated distinction in meeting the performance expectations of Integrated Systems including, outstanding quality, commitment to required delivery schedules, focus on customer satisfaction and robust, lean processes.
