Clariant’s Canadian pigments and additives division
has announced that they will be closing their Markham, Ontario-based
technical application laboratory as of December 1 of this
year. The lab will be combined with Clariant’s industry-specific
labs in Coventry, RI. The move comes as part of Clariant’s “transition
to a regional administrative and business support structure,” says
division manager Hermann Koch in a release. “This move
will allow Clariant to better service the increasingly complex
needs of the Canadian market and focus our resources on the
coatings, plastics, printing and specialties markets,” says
