Concierge Piloted at Oakville Superstore
Last November, the Loblaw Superstore in Oakville, Ont., piloted the Concierge interactive touchscreen computer by Springboard Retail Networks. The computer is integrated into the shopping cart handle that uses a wireless in-store network. Loblaw is the first and only retailer to launch this technology in Canada and currently has exclusive rights. When the cart is put in motion, the Concierge provides information and features, including new product details, how-to tips, recipes, shopping lists, in-store specials, coupons, a product finder and product scanning.
