Things I Hear: Flash Supports "Run The Dream"
|

Toronto-area printing company Flash Reproductions is lending its support to 24-year-old Jonathan Howard's "Run The Dream" coast-to-coast journey across Canada raising awareness for Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
Flash, the official print sponsor of the campaign, honoured Howard Monday, July 21st, with a bar-b-que at its printing facility during a brief respite in the runner's tour. Having completed 3,500 km of his 8,500 km fund-raising run, the Mississauga, Ontario resident spent a few days in the Toronto area before heading back on the road.
"It's fantastic to have businesses like Flash aboard," said Howard at the printing company's event. Carl Pauptit, the founder of Flash Reproductions, knows Howard and his family from their local church and Pauptit offered up printing services in support of the cause, including all of the donation forms and regular newsletters printed and distributed by the campaign team at every stop they make across the country.
The run began on March 25th in St. John's, Newfoundland and Howard expects to finish by December 31 in Victoria, B.C. For the section of his journey between Ottawa and Winnipeg he is being joined by Canadian Para-Olympian Terry Robinson, who is afflicted with Cerebral Palsy and uses a wheel chair for mobility .
The Run The Dream campaign is aiming to raise $2.5 million to support charities that work to assist children with ASD and their families.

Employees, friends and family were on hand at Flash Reproductions in Toronto to show their support for Jonathan Howard's 'Run The Dream' cross-Canada fund-raiser in support of Autism. Two athletes, Howard (in the blue shirt) and Terry Robinson (seated) stopped in at Flash's Toronto headquarters before re-commencing their westbound trek.
